Manufacturing Test Engineer Jobs

The Manufacturing Test Engineer will perform a variety of engineering tasks related to the electrical and electronic testing necessary in the manufacture of radiation detection products. This will include the specification and set-up of test equipment, writing of test procedures/software, interpretation of customer requirements, troubleshooting products, evaluation and root-cause analysis of customer returns and provide input to product design efforts.

Essential Functions:

• Build upon and support the current test equipment infrastructure through maintenance, calibration, software upgrades, and addition of new automated systems
• Interfaces with Product Engineering and Manufacturing Supervision during the design review phase of new product development to ascertain customer requirements and evaluate test capabilities.
• Analyzes and evaluates productions requirements of existing, modified or new test equipment, procedures and methods
• Reviews existing operations, prepares new documentation, and provides operator training on all test procedures
• Support Manufacturing on day-to-day activities including troubleshooting electronics and detector assemblies

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or physics is required. Working within a technically complex manufacturing environment with at least 2 years of experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with functional test equipment, such as: oscilloscopes, DMM, frequency generator, benchtop power supplies, and data loggers. In addition, strong overall PC skills in both hardware and software with some knowledge of CNC, PLC and PC programming languages is preferred.
