Manufacturing Associate
Who we are?
The opportunity
This is an entry level position that will introduce new life science graduates to the exciting world of biologics manufacturing. Successful applicants will be based in our state of the art biologics manufacturing facility located in West Chester, PA.
This is an on-the-floor, hands-on production role working in a cleanroom environment.
Initially you will be assigned to the preparation of media and buffer solutions. Over time as you gain experience working in the GMP pharmaceutical environment you will rotate into the other parts of the manufacturing operation, including upstream cell culture, downstream purification, and sterile drug product filling. In addition to your on-the-floor production responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to learn about the quality and compliance aspects of the business by assisting in the preparation of batch records and standard operating procedures, performing investigations, writing technical reports and change controls, etc.
How you’ll spend your day
- You will be expected to proactively support and participate in our continuous improvement program and have an unrelenting focus on quality.
- Production rotation assignments are dependent on your progression as well as business needs but are generally expected to last about 2 years in each area.
- This is a full time on-site manufacturing position; within the framework of Teva’s flexible work policy, opportunities for remote work are limited.
Your experience and qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of cGMP and the requirements of working in a highly regulated industry.
- Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in the manufacture of biologic medicines
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an applicable discipline (biology, chemistry, microbiology, engineering, or other technical or related field).
