Quaker Oats Production Associate
Quaker Oats, part of PepsiCo, is looking for a Production Associate to work in our fast-paced 24-hour operating manufacturing environment. The Production Associate is responsible for manufacture and packaging of a variety of Quaker Products including: Chewy Granola Bars, Pearl Milling Pancake Mix, Quaker Natural Granola, and Ready-to-Eat Cereals.

Job Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Set-up and operate multiple packaging machines to ensure accurate code dates, weights, and that products are put into appropriate wrappers/boxes.
- Check that products are dated and sealed with a minimum amount of wasted product and supplies.
- Ensure that products to be packed remain clean.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area. Safety is everyone's job.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on packaging machines such as cleaning or switching out knives and blades, pull-belts, tape machines or rollers, depending on the need
- Maintain quality assurance compliance.
- Setting up lines during a changeover process; your role may include placing stickers and wiping down machines or making minor adjustments to machinery.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, such as frequent handwashing, hairnets, no jewelry, etc.
- Wear protective gear when using chemicals to clean and sanitize lines during changeovers from one product to another.
- Keep accurate records and comply with appropriate documentation processes.
- Troubleshoot commonplace problems and make operational adjustments.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have a general knowledge of PC's, excellent communication, interpersonal, training, teaming, and problem-solving skills
Must have basic math, analytical and technical skills.
Must work effectively in a team environment which requires continued development of new skills, continued drive for productivity and process improvements, self-direction, and the ability to communicate at all levels
Must be able to work any shift in any department, including an alternative 12-hour work schedule, weekends, and holidays.
Regular predictive attendance is required.
Must be able to work over 40 hours a week.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of working in a manufacturing environment including, but not limited to, excessive heat, dust, and noise
Must have the ability to lift moderately heavy weights (up to 50 pounds)
Must be willing to comply with grooming/sanitation requirements
