Position Summary:

The Deck Assembly Associate builds the boat exterior according to Engineering specifications in a safe and organized work area. We are looking for a dependable, personable individual who has an eye for quality and is willing to learn. Proficient experience with drill/drivers, wood working tools, small pneumatic hand tolls and shop tools (miter saw, band saw, router, sanders) is a must.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily labor tracking records
• Must be able to read and understand units of measure
• Must have basic computer knowledge and basic math skills
• Develops all the Manufacturing Documentation including Manufacturing Plans, Work Instructions, Build Books and other related documents needs for New Product in Manufacturing
• Knowledge of processes used in construction and building trades
• With minimal supervision, assemble boat units per specifications prescribed on the Tiara Yachts work instructions
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management
• Suggest and help implement solutions to challenges in the Proto boats
• Ability to work with Engineering in the Early Stage of the Design
• Communicates the current product, process or material constraints or issues to Engineering
• When asked, assists with training team members to develop job knowledge and improve performance
• Must be accustomed to physical tasks for long periods of time. This includes, but not limited to, standing, kneeling, lifting up to 40lbs, bending, using your hands and working with various materials

Education and Experience:

Deck Assembly Associate:

• Several years Deck Assembly experience helpful
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred

• Able to follow manufacturing instruction and understand processes
• Pass a background check, drug test and physical
• Must follow company safety guidelines
• Must practice PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies as mandated per area. (Use safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, etc.)
