About The Team
- Developing, implementing, and driving business strategies and scalable processes, such as pricing, merchant onboarding, new product feature adoption and marketing initiatives
- Managing multiple projects at once, ensuring that all team members and cross-functional partners are bought in and adhering to project timelines
- Building go-to-market strategies with partners for adoption and rollout of new product features
- Working internally with cross-functional teams to address partners’ needs and understand various growth levers, product features and initiatives to pitch to partners; facilitating communication between partners and internal teams
- Diving deep into data to analyze performance and efficiency data at the lowest level of detail in order to provide strategic insights or recommendations for broader teams, including cross-functional partners and General Managers
- Designing a best-in-class operating playbook to drive merchant sales and profitability
- Managing and building relationships with an entire portfolio of strategic integration partners; identifying, sizing and executing on win-win growth opportunities
- Supporting and, in some cases, leading business negotiations, including forming pricing proposals, conducting volume sensitivity analyses, P&L forecasting, preparing deal terms and negotiation strategies, and performing contract reviews
- Providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to be used in contract negotiations with top partners
- Lead ad hoc projects as determined by your Senior Manager or Director
- Execute on plans – take responsibility for implementation plans and go-to-market of new product initiatives
- Deep dive into data to solve problems - pull and work with complex datasets; SQL experience required
- Own business strategy and outcomes — use data and insights to formulate strategy, provide recommendations and develop operational plans to share with leadership team
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders - work with various teams, such as Product, Engineering, Finance, Analytics and Legal, to drive scalable growth
- Explore high growth opportunities - work closely with partners to understand their evolving needs and make the case internally if there is a sizeable opportunity
- Manage and grow external relationships with our top integration partners
- Lead high visibility projects - address Drive’s most unique and challenging questions
- Oscillate easily from strategic considerations to tactical execution
- Enjoy working with cross-functional teams and have a strong penchant for influencing others to achieve desired outcomes
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Masters Degree a plus
- Have experience supporting or leading business negotiations, including contract reviews
- Are a self-starter; you aren’t afraid of failure, have a bias towards action and can thrive in a fast environment.
- Are comfortable with building and running SQL queries to analyze business performance
- Have experience in bringing new products to market and scaling business processes
- Are persuasive and will thrive in motivating partners to see the benefits of growing with DoorDash Drive
- Possess strong analytical skills and bring a structured approach to ambiguous data sets
- Have 4+ years of experience in an external facing role (ideally strategic partnerships, strategy consulting or business development)
- Can think strategically and creatively to come up with solutions to complex problems
- Are humble and hungry; you’re willing to get your hands dirty and are open to feedback
- Display extreme ownership over multiple projects and workstreams, while ruthlessly prioritizing what will actually move the needle
- Demonstrate strong communication and reporting skills; can summarize complex issues into succinct problem statements and can provide high-level business commentary to leadership
