Job Description
Resilience is a first-of-its-kind manufacturing and technology company dedicated to broadening access to complex medicines and protecting biopharmaceutical supply chains against disruption. The Security Manager position combines a security administrator, security systems operator, security advisor, and leader accountable for developing and implementing security processes to support GMP and biosafety at this site.
The Security Manager oversees the Resilience contracted guard force, visitor management processes, and security systems administration.
The Security Manager will provide the security and safety of personnel and material to mitigate physical assault and protect information to prevent fraud, industrial espionage/sabotage, or threats by competitors or terrorists.
The Security Manager will work closely with Resilience site leaders to ensure that policies, programs, and processes are developed, implemented, communicated, and consistently administered in compliance with organizational objectives and relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Provides guidance to security officers to ensure standardization of security processes and directives
  • Continually assesses plans and develops corrective actions to mitigate gaps/shortcomings
  • Reviews periodic audits of security systems for accuracy and to meet policy requirements
  • Directs and supervises security drills to check the efficiency of all security measures
  • Evaluates and correct performance issues of security officer/guard force personnel under their supervision
  • Participates in training and events with the site emergency response team
  • Routinely participates in required training to perform the position’s functions.
  • Maintains partnership with the sub-contracted security force provider
  • Writes and reviews local standard operating procedures, protocols, and emergency response plans as needed
  • Fosters a team approach that values collaboration to attain business-wide goals
  • Accurately assesses operational system capabilities and works with Security Integrator to initiate corrective actions
  • Oversees installation of electronic security systems, such as CCTV surveillance, entry controls, intrusion detection alarms, smoke detectors, and outdoor perimeter alarms
  • Plans and coordinates clients’ safety during tours/travel with the assistance of the security guard force
  • Conducts routine communication with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to maintain awareness of potential threat activities that may impact Resilience business operations
  • Ensures implementation of comprehensive security systems under his/her responsibility
  • Plans and directs security-related training provided to Resilience personnel for security and safety-related matters
  • Notifies Corporate Security and local site management of security weaknesses and vulnerabilities
Qualifications
  • Ability to speak publicly for training and presentations to senior leadership and Resilience staff members.
  • Experience managing contracted security guards, including training, scheduling, and administration of security guard’s activities to support an effective physical security program.
  • Understanding and experience with cGMP (cGXP), OSHA Safety, and QA procedures.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred; experience may be substituted for college credits.
  • 8+ years of security and safety-related experience (private or government).

Our target annualized base pay hiring range for this position is $100,000.00 - $130,000.00. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
