Job Description

Our firm is seeking a Manager, Marketing—Event Planning, responsible for leading the design, organization, and execution of all corporate events for Renaissance. In addition, this role supports our expanding member marketing efforts with a focus on engaging our members while developing a community. The role requires an expert in all aspects of event, meeting, and conference planning, including cost containment, venue scouting, equipment logistics, room setup, and best practices; an individual who is passionate, creative, detail-oriented, and dedicated to providing excellent client service.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES will include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Develop deep understanding of trends in event planning, design, and production
  • Establish annual budget and manage all events to agreed cost parameters
  • Partner with Member Communications to effectively, create, schedule, and distribute event communication
  • Develop strategy, procedures, and guidelines to communicate to internal stakeholders
  • Identify key metrics to measure event success delivering continuous improvement and reporting these to appropriate stakeholders
  • Coordinate with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process through completion to ensure successful outcomes
  • Manage event operations up to and during meetings, and proactively identify and solve operational challenges
  • Lead the planning and execution of in-person external and internal events on a national basis
  • Partner with leadership team to develop continuity and strategy for all events


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle pressure and make good decisions quickly
  • Proficient with event management software
  • Experience in marketing or public relations (preferred)
  • Experience in building and maintaining positive business relationships
  • Proven success in event planning or coordination; Bachelor’s degree preferred in event management or related discipline
  • Flexibility for domestic travel
