What You Will Learn


Manager will be responsible to implement marketing plans for Idôle fragrance for the U.S. market by working closely with Director & VP Marketing to execute and evaluate product launches and promotional marketing programs. They will be accountable for the growth plans of Idôle Franchise & new project across retailers, bringing marketing strategies to life across core and new. Develop the national retail 360 go to market plans for Idôle, ensuring we have the right shopper engagement plans (samples, media, animations, sets, gwps, etc) to maximize Lancôme’s market share through all omni-channel levers available (email, social, hp takeover, displays, mag, coop, etc). Work hand-in-hand with other cross-functional team members (trade, merchandising, account teams, consumer connections team, DMI, and luxe acceleration leads) to ensure our go to market strategies from inception to launch are strong and adapted for each account.


Key Job Responsibilities


Drive marketing strategy on Idole fragrance in partnership with N+1


  • Develop forecast proposals for new products/sku’s as well as revised forecasts for existing businesses affected by launch
  • Prepare and/or review MD’s for all necessary information, maintain accurate files on ongoing projects, keep abreast of all timetables for new product launches and ensure that deadlines are met in a timely manner; identify potential problems
  • Work with Global marketing team to implement domestic applications of brand strategy
  • Monitor plant inventory levels for retail and promotional items to ensure appropriate stock levels
  • Review all copy submissions
  • Ensure art mechanicals are accurate for content, and that they are released on time
  • Ensure that Creative is aware of all copy/package direction, providing components, working copy, etc. – brief 360 merchandising updates focusing on marketing objectives
  • Coordinate bi-annual phase-out meeting, recommending products for discontinuation, reviewing obsolete inventory levels, and lost revenue implications
  • Work closely with sales team/all necessary departments to assist in development of all in-store events, outlining objectives and budgets initiate new Marketing proposals and drive development with Creative group


New Products


  • Prepare quarterly brand review and new products vs. basic business review as required
  • Track retail sell-thru of all launches for the first 12 weeks plus key products and categories on an ongoing basis
  • Issue post-launch status reports to ensure that all launch commitments are met


Additional


  • Work with Director/VP to recommend strategic retail pricing for new products; recommend price increases for existing products
  • Market visits on an ongoing basis
  • Prepare Competitive Pricing Review bi-annually
  • Maintain files of key competitive sampling vehicles/programs and competitive advertising and samples of new products as it applies to business segments


Required Qualifications


What We Are Looking For:


  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • 3-5 years experience in the cosmetics, skincare, and/or fragrance industry
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work independently within a rigorous deadline schedule
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint priority)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
