Job Description


How you will contribute


North America Health Programs


You will provide leadership and technical support for the regional health programs.


  • Establish key community outreach to facilitate collaborative relationships for health promotion and public health emergency preparedness.
  • Interact with peers and functional/regional leaders to exchange technical information and encourage sharing of ideas and best practices.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and develop regional community of champions to drive a culture of health and well-being.
  • Support the development of regional occupational-health related policies and procedures.
  • Support and develop regional well-being activities that are inclusive of our diverse workforce.
  • Coordinate the implementation of HSE health standards to ensure compliance with local legislations and global HSE requirements for health protection of our workforce.
  • Assess regional population health risks through medical surveillance, health claim data, and/or community health profile to formulate targeted programming and relevant tracking metrics to monitor impacts and trends.
  • Lead health promotion initiatives for injury and illness prevention and management through health education and training programs.


Case Management


You will provide administrative case management for work-related illnesses and injuries in the U.S. Business Unit (BU).


  • Support sites to establish key partnerships with medical service providers to facilitate optimal medical care and health protection.
  • Support coordination of clinical care.
  • Support the US BU HSE team with occupational injury/illness cases and as a liaison for workers’ compensation cases.
  • Support and promote the return-to-work process for affected employees to return to the highest level of job capability in a timely and safest manner; this might include communication with medical professionals or other healthcare entities.


Coordination of Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics Activities


You will play a key role in health risk assessments.


  • Undertake or oversee the development and implementation of health risk controls and management based on IH and ergonomics risk assessments, and the relevant health promotion initiatives.
  • Coordinate with relevant internal/external IH and ergonomics experts to ensure that health risk assessments meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and business needs.


Contribution to the Expertise and Leadership of Mondelēz HSE Health Strategy


You will contribute, grow, and network through participating in or leading projects and have focal point roles regionally and globally.


  • Build out the NA health framework to protect and promote worker heath as well as to support health preparedness for future public health crisis under the global health strategy and regional leadership.
  • Develop and implement standards, guidelines, and/or new health programs related to Mondelēz occupational or environment health concerns as needed.
  • Take an active role in the global health community of practice to contribute to the company’s health strategy.

What You will Bring:

  • Leadership and management experience with ability to manage diverse multiple projects and priorities.
  • Knowledge of work-relatedness assessment for injuries and illnesses.
  • Understanding of health communication, population health, physical and mental health promotion, lifestyle risk factors, safety, industrial hygiene, and ergonomics.
  • Problem solving, project management, and ability to influence across all levels and functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Corporate occupational health or occupational health and safety leadership roles, with clinical experience preferred, for at least 3 years.
  • Knowledge of the laws, regulations and standards governing health and safety, U.S. OSHA, and general principles of the U.S. workers’ compensation system.


Education/Certifications:


You must have at least one of the following qualifications with supporting knowledge and experience as described.


  • Certified industrial hygienist with expertise in ergonomics and occupational health.
  • Professional ergonomist with expertise in industrial hygiene and occupational health.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing or other equivalent heath professional degrees.
  • A graduate of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant accredited program.
