Manager, Event Services (Lamar Dixon) - Labor Grade 118 / Pay Range: $53,690.62 - $75,690.37

SUMMARY

The Event Services Manager works under the direction of the Assistant General Manager, Lamar Dixon. The Event Services Manager is responsible for overseeing tasks related to the booking, scheduling, implementation, cleanup and invoicing for events at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center.

MAJOR DUTIES

• Responsible for booking events, scheduling related meetings and needed staffing, and requisitioning needed supplies
• Manage all aspects of hosted events including ensuring facilities are properly prepared, managing parking and RV lots, and scheduling janitorial for post-event cleanup
• Responsible for ensuring overall upkeep of facilities
• Ensures the highest quality customer service in all aspects of events
• Responsible for creating yearly budgets for department
• Any other duties as assigned
• Responsible for accurate and timely invoicing
• Responsible for creating event-specific budgets and ensuring events stay within budget
• Obtains and manages event sponsorships

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent and (3) years directly related experience is required, or
• Education and Experience: Associate’s degree and (1) year directly related experience

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS – CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

• The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug screen with random drug testing thereafter.
• The incumbent is required to have a current, and the ability to maintain, Louisiana state driver’s license.
