Taking care of the little things and the big things is what we do to engage the heart and create lifelong memories for our guests and colleagues. As a Guest Services Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Bell Services, Door, Lobby Greeters and Valet Services. This position will also ensure that all standards, procedures and guest satisfaction objectives are met and exceeded on a consistent basis.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure the achievement of divisional financial objectives through creative scheduling, productivity monitoring and accurate payroll administration.
  • Respond to all guest and colleague challenges with urgency
  • Effectively manage colleague performance with coaching, training, corrective action and performance reviews
  • Maintain an engaged, enthusiastic and guest driven team through recruitment, hiring, personal and professional development and recognition while promoting the philosophy of empowerment
  • Collaborate and communicate with other departments to maintain the highest level of Guest Service and generate maximum profit
  • Implement initiatives to improve service
  • Foster a culture where colleagues focus on and accomplish our mission of Turning Moments into Memories
  • Effectively communicate with Guest Services colleagues through written communications and by conducting pre-shift briefings, regular department meetings and one-on-one meetings

Qualifications

  • Two years supervisory/management experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must also be able to operate a manual shift vehicle.
  • Knowledge of computerized Front Office systems with emphasis in Micros-Fidelio based programs (Opera) an asset
  • Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally.
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail functions.
  • Maui County Liquor Card
  • Luxury hotel experience is a requirement.
