Compensation: $1200/week with the opportunity for advancement based on performance
Package: 25 paid vacation days. Healthcare stipend after 6 months of employment.
Work Schedule: full-time, 5 days per week (must include Friday and Saturday)

The hit Off-Broadway comedy, Drunk Shakespeare, is seeking a Manager to join our team!
The ideal candidate has several years of creative and managerial experience in the performing arts. This role includes:
~ Management of The Lion Theatre at 182 N. Wabash Ave, Chicago IL
~ Management of “Drunk Shakespeare” in Chicago
Experience Stage Managing or Directing Shakespeare and/or Comedy is a plus!
We are seeking a natural leader, who is comfortable with a high level of responsibility and capable of creative and common-sense problem-solving. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work autonomously. This is an open-ended full-time position. This role requires a strong passion for the arts, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
The Manager will work closely with the creative team based in New York including Producer (Scott Griffin) and Directors (David Hudson & Lisa Klages). The manager will assist the Director during casting and rehearsals and then be responsible for ongoing rehearsals and maintenance.
Managerial Duties include:
~ Responsibility for maintaining all aspects of the venue and production. This includes creative content, patron experience, food & beverage experience, venue maintenance, and ticket sales
~Administrative, and budgeting experience preferred
~ Managing, Training, and Scheduling all cast, crew, and other staff
~ Stage Management of each performance, including running simple technical elements and minimal show cues
~Proven management and leadership capabilities
~High energy, positive, “can do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and high degree of initiative
~Experience self-managing multiple initiatives and projects
~Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on analytical skills, conflict management, oral communication, and the ability to participate in public speaking
~Excellent written communication
~Interest, enthusiasm, and affinity for working with people in a highly collaborative organizational structure
~Commitment to achieving high standards within limited resources and strong ability to problem solve
~ Continuous improvement
Creative Duties include:
~ Maintaining world-class performance quality
~ Regular rehearsals
~ Participating in casting and rehearsing new cast
~ Supporting Company morale
~ Daily notes based on creative goals
