Key Responsibilities
Demonstrates leadership and provides support for base supervisors and flight attendants. Ensure accurate and comprehensive maintenance of flight attendant records and files. Assisting Base Directors as needed, the manager ensures annual goals are met and participates in the performance review and evaluation process for each supervisor/staff member regularly providing mentor and feedback. The Manager and administrative positions directly relate to front line employee morale as proven by the efficiency of the Manager promoting on-time performance of a clean, safe, and reliable product and the continuation of our flight attendants’ superior customer service onboard. The Base Manager mentors each supervisor, in addition to recruiting developing new supervisors.
Performance

• Collaborates with other operations groups (Airport Operations, Flight Operations, etc.) to optimally lead timely departures
• Serves as liaison with other departments
• Leads the supervisory/ administrative staff at the base including recruiting, training, coaching, mentoring and performance management
• Ensure all base and divisional goals are met
• Provides reporting and follow-up to senior leadership on performance

Customer and Employee Satisfaction

• Supports the Base Director in achieving goals in safety, reliability, customer happiness, employee satisfaction and budgeting
• Ensures delivery of Inflight and marketing products determined by the Inflight division
• Responsible for the base leadership that supports over 3,000 flight attendants and a large management teams
• Responsible for the recognition and counseling of flight attendants

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Required to attend and successfully complete United's flight attendant training to earn FAA certification if not currently qualified. Obtaining and maintaining flight qualifications is an essential function of the job. Failure to obtain and maintain flight qualifications may result in termination.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Facilitating the completion of team goals
• Using appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive team
• Reliability – minimization of chargeable delays
• 3+ years airline experience
• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Developing and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment or work goals
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
• Customer satisfaction – support flight attendants to achieve Inflight service expectations
• Employee satisfaction – flight attendant satisfaction with work environment
