We are looking for a Manager, Advisory Consulting to join our team. This role is unique to have the ability to sell our platform and drive advisor success. The main goal for the Manager, Advisory Consulting in to sell our advisory platforms to our advisors and drive adoption and success of our Contour advisory platform.
Location: This position may be done HYBRID out of one the following home office locations or fully remote:
  • Fully Remote - USA
  • Houston, TX: 11740 Katy Freeway, Energy Tower III Ste 600, 77079
  • Syracuse, NY: 100 Madison Street, Syracuse 13202
  • San Diego, CA: 10150 Meanley Drive, San Diego 92131
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $145,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position all will have a variable compensation element.
What you will do:
  • Manage internal Advisory Consulting Team to support sales initiatives.
  • Work day-to-day with Representatives, Program Managers (PM) and Sales Assistants:
  • Travel may be up to 50% of time.
  • Ensure they have the most current product information and access to sales and product support.
  • Stay up to date on the industry, sales and product best practices.
  • To understand their wants and need
  • Travel to Advisors’ offices for focused consulting engagements designed to influence Advisors in building / enhancing sustainable profitable practices.
  • Consistently shows leadership skills and exudes Company Values
  • Drive growth of advisory sales and AUM based on targeted goals.
  • Identifies opportunities to serve via solicitation of Representatives and PM feedback.
  • Act as primary contact point regarding vendor product and sales inquiries.
  • Manage multiple projects and coordinates tasks concurrently.
Must haves:
  • Excellent telephone communication skills.
  • Must have prior experience in sales or financial planning.
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) from four-year college or university or equivalent from an accredited college; minimum of five to seven years related industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must.
  • Ability to recognize when a problem or issue requires additional parties to be consulted and the ability to use proper discretion and judgment when dealing with internal and external difficulties.
  • Position requires FINRA Series 7 and 65/66.
  • Must possess understanding of the financial services marketplace with particular focus on investment and insurance products.
  • Ability to remain flexible in an ever-changing environment.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook are required.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
