Job Title: Logistics Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities: Manage Shipping and Receiving operations to ensure the proper receipt, storage, kitting, delivery and inventory of materials in support of current operations and business goals. Continually evaluate material flow processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities in support of a culture based on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Ensure area is clean and organized to 5S standards.
• Manage the day-to-day activities including receiving, kitting, customer shipments and inventory control.
• Provide leadership and manage a direct team size of 10 or more daily.

• Work closely with Production Supervisors, Team Leads, Supply Chain, and other team members to identify and resolve parts issues with corrective action solutions

• Properly staff and train team members to ensure customer needs are being met.
• Work closely with 3PL Logistics providers and seek opportunities to reduce freight cost
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize material flow and drive inventory accuracy across all areas of the company.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Analyze return to stock items from production and implement improvement strategies.
• Ensure kits are issued, properly identified and staged timely to meet production needs.
• Perform month-end inventory and cycle counting to ensure inventory integrity.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• 5 or more years' experience in Warehouse and Manufacturing Operations.
• Knowledge of inventory control procedures.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience with ERP (Epicor or other) software and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude with a customer appreciation mentality.
• Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively with a focus of timeliness and responsiveness.
• Previous people leadership and material handling experience required.
