Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Parts Supply Chain Planning Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Analyst to lead the development, sustainment, and Kaizen of a Toyota Production System (TPS) Parts Supply Chain.
Reporting to the Logistics Planning Manager, the person in this role will support the Part Supply Chain Planning department's objective to achieve lowest cost logistics by leveraging TPS and Toyota Way principles.
What you’ll be doing
- Responsible to optimize external parts delivery supply chain network based upon TPS principles.
- Achieve daily milestones with 100% accuracy to produce a new logistics design monthly, maximizing efficiency and managing change within the supply chain.
- Create an environment that drives innovative solutions to deliver significant cost kaizen within $1B+ logistics spend.
- Foster personal growth and development to meet current and future business needs, with focus on problem solving, quality, analytical skills, and developing deep operational knowledge of the supply chain.
- Focus on developing and sustaining positive relationships with Customers (North America Manufacturing Companies, Service Part Centers, Cross Docks, Contract Logistics Providers and Toyota Suppliers) to develop a supply chain plan that ensures smooth operational flow at the lowest cost delivery of parts.
What you bring
- Proven communication skills to include report writing and presenting to an audience.
- Complex data analysis/quantitative methodology experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytical field (Engineering, IS, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management) or minimum of 4 years work experience in supply chain or logistics planning.
- Project experience leading and/or collaborating with working groups to achieve a common goal.
Added bonus if you have
- Experience working with a defined, repeatable process using operating procedures, and quality confirmation checks.
- Experience working with timelines that cannot be adjusted, daily targets on a rotating monthly schedule (hard milestones).
- Experience using data visualization software (Tableau or Power BI).
- Over-the-road or rail logistics planning working experience in a high volume / high cost environment.
- Experience using optimization software, or complex software suites (SAP, ERP, eKanban, etc).
- Proven demonstration of problem solving principles such as Toyota Business Priniciples or 5-Why analysis.
