Logistics Operation Manager- E-Commerce Business

Job Summary/Objective:

This individual will manage the end-to-end operations, and work internally with product, sales, marketing, freight, small parcel, and warehousing teams to optimize the whole supply chain. This individual will ensure all warehousing operation and freight transit are efficient and effective. The ideal candidate must possess previous logistical experience and knowledge of industry best practices.

Responsibilities/Duties:

This role requires sound leadership and decision-making to drive our world-class supply chain teams in developing and implementing new capabilities and improving current processes.

• Establish, maintain, and optimize standard procedures and best-practices for the logistics operations.
• Develop and optimize Warehouse Management System and Transportation Management System
• Constantly look for new logistics technologies, innovations and practices, and vendors to help improve efficiencies, and reduce delivery time and costs.
• Provide regular reports, analysis, and insights to key stakeholders (marketing, business, warehouse, customer service, operations, etc.) to preemptively resolve issues and improve operational efficiencies.
• Identify and build relationships with 3rd party logistics providers and carriers to maximize efficiency, reduce delivery time, and decrease costs. Lead the contract negotiation with providers to make sure we get the best deals.
• Direct business planning / development, process implementation / improvement and talent management.
• Mobilizes and motivates effective project teams, communicating effectively across teams and groups.

Requirements (Skills/Abilities/experience):

• Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage a high volume of projects simultaneously.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, warehouse management system and transportation management systems.
• High proficiency in creating and analyzing complex data-driven reports required.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a very fast paced, complex, and dynamic environment.
• 10+ years’ experience in Logistics / Operations leadership in a supply chain related field
• Experience documenting/designing business processes, performing business analysis, and requirements definition.
• Strong leadership, problem solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skill.
• Resourceful self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity

Education/Licenses/certifications:

• BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, logistic or related disciplines or 15 years equivalent experience

Preferred requirements:

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred, and certification from a reputable organization preferred.
• MBA preferred，PMP preferred.
• Large-scale retail E-Commerce experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts (wired rack cart, pallet jack, forklift, and conveyor belt…etc.) The employee is exposed to hot and humid conditions or cold temperature due to warehouse environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
