Voice of Refugees (VOR) is a faith-based nonprofit founded in 2009 by refugees who wanted to help other refugees thrive in the United States. VOR provides relief aid and services to hundreds of refugees in Southern California. Our mission is to show God’s love through our care and support for the refugee community in the United States.

The Logistics Coordinator (LC) will be responsible for the logistics of all VOR programs, maintenance and cleanliness of VOR’s facilities and vehicles, and transportation for people, furniture, and supplies as needed. At Voice of Refugees, the Gospel is the center of all we do! We take time to meditate on God’s word every week and pray for each other. The LC’s role is to be rooted in God’s love and passionate about serving the marginalized and displaced as one team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of VOR’s facility and vehicles
• Provide furniture and household items delivery to refugee families in SoCal.
• Help with the logistics for all events conducted at VOR facility or other places.
• Provide transportation for refugees to VOR events, programs, and services.
• Assist in setting up and tearing down after every program or event if needed.

Qualifications

The Logistics Coordinator is an essential team player for the outreach team primarily due to the wide range that refugee needs and requests, which sometimes needs immediate attention.

• 3 - 5 years related work experience required
• Able to safely lift up to 80 lbs in furniture or equipment.
• Working knowledge of warehouse or inventory responsibilities
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record required
• Computer savvy and able to prepare reports/timesheets for work done.
• Experience driving a box truck is a plus
