Job Description

Position: Logistics Coordinator


Location: Onsite every day in Paramount, California (7611 Somerset Blvd Paramount, CA 90723)


C2H: 6-month contract to hire!



Must-Haves:

  • Comfortable being hands-on at the warehouse (i.e.. Operating a forklift, unpackaging, packing, process shipments, maintaining accurate levels of inventory etc.)
  • Ability to:
  • 5+ years of supply chain / logistics background or similar relevant experience
  • Work within excel creating manual packing slips and pro forma invoices.
  • Understand incoterms and other transportation legislation.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics importing and exporting processes, internationally and domestically.
  • Track hardware to make sure it arrives in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with freight vendors and hardware vendors (internationally and domestically)


Plusses:

Training will be provided for the following. Any experience is a plus.

  • Salesforce
  • Experience with PDM systems
  • SAP knowledge is an advantage.



Day-to-Day:

Our client, one of the largest suppliers of cargo handling equipment, automation, software, and services, is seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to join their logistics / warehouse team onsite in Paramount, California. This individual will be supporting daily material management activities, such as logistics or warehousing. They will be organizing material deliveries from the clients’ warehouses to production partners & end customers. To do so, the logistics coordinator will be preparing different logistics / transportation documents as well as repackaging and preparing items at warehouse for shipment to customers. Other responsibilities will include generating purchase requisitions and maintaining production BOM in SAP, handling material flow in ERP system (SAP), Ordering transportation services for shipments (FedEx, DHL, etc.), and assisting in invoicing and invoice processing. There may also be hands-on tasks you must be comfortable with taking on including unpackaging and operating a forklift.
