Purpose of Position:

• The position ensures the smooth transportation of routine products through the transportation channel by managing individual shipments in transit, selecting standard shipping/warehousing methods, collecting and processing delivery and documentation items, and processing claims via phone and personal contact with logistics colleagues, business partners, internal partners, and customers.
• Under the guidance of a manger, this position is responsible for a transactional part of the logistics cycle for all Samsung products; including manufacturing, SALS warehouse tracking, customer delivery, and customer product returns and claims.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Complete transportation transactions from factory to customer delivery, focusing on one of the following areas:
• Product management within the warehouse facility.
• Inbound shipment tracking and delivery from overseas manufacturing to local distribution and warehousing facilities.
• Outbound shipping and delivery to customer distribution or retail centers.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Track and resolve shipping, warehouse, and carrier shipping errors, as well as damaged products claims by following general guidelines and seeking manager authority for exceptional or high-cost deviations.
• Conduct a transactional process from factory to customer distribution or retail center under managerial supervision, making routine decisions using pre-determined decision alternatives on matters that have light to moderate impact on business operations.
• Reverse logistics processing return shipments from customers to Samsung hubs, including reconciling claims and invoice discrepancies.
• Preparing daily and weekly reports for management.

Required Knowledge, Education and/or Experience:

• Works on problems of limited and routine scope where limited analysis of data requires identification of predetermined solutions.
• The ability to read, prepare, interpret, and understand product shipment information from various order and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and thorough preparation of transportation documents.
• Exercises judgment within defined practices and policies in selection of methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree or experience.
• Typically has general knowledge of logistics operations related to employee’s specific area of work, and limited knowledge of overall logistics operations.
• Is able to identify standard problems within the delivery cycle and makes recommendations to change either delivery methods or dates, and authorize standard returns or claims to ensure customer satisfaction.

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

• Must be able to work after-hours as needed.
• Due to the nature of business, this role requires the incumbent to be onsite in the office Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
• Environmental factors: seated at a desk, using a computer, telephone, etc.

Major contacts:

• This individual will work closely with many Logistics colleagues both inside and outside the company in order to assure the most efficient delivery of products to customers.
• Regular, routine contact with internal and external customers up to a Manager level.
• This individual will follow direction from Operations and Logistics Teams to coordinate changes to our supply chain operations as process improvements are determined.
• Identify other departments for people that have a direct impact on position. Describe the nature of contacts with them.
