Job Description
Monday - Friday
Hours 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
Job Summary: Coordinating all outbound freight, ensuring orders are delivered in a timely manner.
Follow established timetables, collaborate with suppliers and business partners, and maintain shipping
records. Creating freight PO’s based on quotes received and reconciling invoices for payment. Every day,
track, trace, and update the status of shipments by sending out emails.
• Check emails daily and communicate with companies letting them know what they’re receiving.
(Pickup request and BOL numbers)
• Send emails to third-party delivery informing them of orders being dropped off for further delivery
(Greco’s, Antler, Testa,etc)
• Check to make sure all orders for the day are in and routed to the correct carrier.
• Assign BOL numbers to all orders.
• Answer calls addressing any freight issues/concerns.
• Create freight POs daily based on quotes received.
• Communicating Cheesecake lumber charges and detention fees to Glen (General Manager)
• Maintaining freight data up to date in excel.
• Review the invoice details and verify that they match the corresponding purchase orders. Check
for any discrepancies or errors, such as incorrect amounts/weights.
• Help maintain carrier on-time report card.
