Job Description

We are looking for an experienced legal assistant who can be a major part of the team assisting the busy attorneys at our law office. You’ll be responsible for managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings and travel, and ensuring our legal team is aware of upcoming deadlines. You’ll also assist with preparing legal documents and contracts, and perform any other tasks as needed to ensure our firm is operating efficiently. Compensation:

$17+ DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines
  • Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently
  • Perform legal research, as needed, with help from attorneys and paralegals
  • Work with attorneys and paralegals to create various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents when requested
  • Make travel arrangements, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events
Qualifications:
  • Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in a law firm environment as a secretary or administrative assistant
  • Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position
  • Associate’s degree, or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is necessary
  • Proficient with MS Office products

  • Must have prior experience as an administrative assistant in a busy office.
  • Position is remote but must be in PST time zone
