General Summary


Provides tactical input on the design/development of organization development, training, and development solutions and programs for the health system. Provides content, development, facilitation, and communication for learning and development programs. Leverages blended learning techniques to reinforce, sustain and realize training objectives. Develops training content utilizing eLearning and Instructor-led authoring tools and also facilitates sessions using adult learning principles.


Principal Responsibilities And Tasks


The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.


Facilitates leadership and learning training programs throughout the employee life cycle which will include topics concerning professional and leadership development.


  • Designs, and develops leadership and employee learning and development curriculum using adult learning principles (instructor led, eLearning, web).
  • Assists with the creation and delivery of L&D communications
  • Identifies key metrics for learning effectiveness and monitor results to continually improve course offerings.
  • Coordinates new program implementation with Human Resources (HR) Business Partners and Trainers across the organization.
  • Collaborates with SMEs across the system to execute annual training and complete team projects.
  • Manages and/or personally execute activities involved in the needs assessment, design, development, delivery, implementation and evaluation of learning and development programs
  • Partners with stakeholders and conduct analysis to design effective training and development programs using instructional design practices and learning technology to align the training to business objectives.
  • Supports and facilitate workgroups and action centered learning interventions
  • Presents information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
  • Maintains and update materials and ensure alignment with multiple curriculums and business objectives
  • Develops, organizes and maintains training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.
  • Executes ad hoc training and development support to professional teams


Qualifications


Education and Experience


  • Minimum three years of experience in related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Coaching experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Industry assessments and certifications preferred (e.g., Emergenetics, EQI, DDI, DiSC, MBTI, Strength Finders).
  • Previous experience as a facilitator.

  • A team player who can build rapport and establish trust with coworkers and clients.
  • Strong technical aptitude and expertise (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Learning Management Systems, Zoom, WebEx, Adobe Connect). Experience with Adobe Captivate is preferred.
  • Competent with the creation and analysis of budgets
  • Excellent planning, organizational, time-management, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills. Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Accomplished presentation and group facilitation skills.
  • Sound working knowledge of up-to-date leadership and adult education theory and practices and the ability to translate this into highly engaging learning solutions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as the job is hybrid
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and how they are applied to the development of training deliverables.
  • Good analytic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Business Acumen and Analysis Skills - Knowledge of general business fundamentals, finance, and management principles
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and remain focused on priorities and delivering results.
  • Proven ability to gain credibility, partner effectively with others at all levels of the organization, both within and outside the department, and collaborate with others to achieve meaningful outcomes.
