We are currently seeking a highly motivated Learning and Development Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Administration, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the training department and evaluating the overall effectiveness and performance of our employees. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing individual and group training programs aligned with the organizational priorities of the Credit Union.


Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your financial and credit union experience to enhance training programs.
  • Prepare and manage the training and development budget.
  • Oversee new employee orientation sessions, on-the-job training, and ongoing development.
  • Conduct training in marketing techniques, health and safety practices, and provide refresher and upgrading training.
  • Develop training aids such as handbooks, visual aids, and tutorials to support effective learning.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Monitor the progress of trainees through routine tests, observation, and feedback, ensuring the effectiveness of current training methods.
  • Evaluate and assist in the design of training manuals, materials, classes, and procedures.
  • Complete required reports and documents and actively participate in relevant meetings.
  • Collaborate in formulating training programs and selecting appropriate instructional methods, including individual training, group instructions, demonstrations, and workshops.


Requirements:

  • Maintain a positive credit standing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for building relationships, motivating others, and delivering training effectively.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-recognized certifications (e.g., information technology certifications).
  • Experience: Three to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in functioning within a financial institution environment and utilizing standard office equipment.
