Requirements:

This position requires:

  • Identify preparation tasks and work alongside the chef team
  • Check mise en place for quality and par levels
  • Other duties as assigned by management team
  • Ensure that dishes come out in a quality and timely fashion
  • Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards, which include properly cooling and heating procedures, as well as identifying safe holding temperatures
  • Must be able to Master all stations in the kitchen
  • Clean up station and properly store remaining mise en place
  • Experience with Latino American products and cooking methods a plus
  • Prior experience in a high-volume, fast paced kitchen
  • This is an open kitchen, maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Must be able to identify and resolve poorly executed prep, mise en place, and dishes
  • Prepare food for service as required for the station, following recipes & methods
