What We’re Looking For

The Toyota Retail Transformation department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Retail Experience & Field Marketing Manager.

SmartPath/Monogram (SP/M) Service is an enterprise-wide program offering the only fully integrated end-to-end dealer solution powered by Toyota that will contribute to a more inspiring, innovative, and exciting Toyota/Lexus (T/L) experience by creating the #1 retail tool for our owners and future T/L customers. This experience will leverage industry insights, re-imagined digital tools, and in-dealership process mapping co-developed with dealers, TFS/LFS, the field organization, IT, and our external business partners. SP/M Service will satisfy the customer demand for a timely, tailored, and transparent experience on-line and in the dealership, while supporting dealership profit opportunities.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Fixed Operations Retail Transformation, the Retail Experience & Field Marketing Manager will have the responsibility for coordinating, managing, and leading a team of dealer Launch and Sustainment Leads for T/L SP/M Service dealers. This position includes some travel to T/L dealerships and field offices.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Evaluate monthly dealer contact reports to ensure process and performance targets are identified, tracked, and achieved.
  • Gather product, launch data, and consolidate information for Program, Business Partner, and Field Office use.
  • Visit assigned field offices to provide product overviews and training.
  • Track project performance and implement additional training/field support designed to drive a successful outcome.
  • Attend dealer visits with DSPM / Launch and Sustainment Lead as needed.
  • Support traveling team members in executing product launches, provide in-field training, and identify future growth opportunities for team members.
  • Coordinate with Regional / Area field offices to ensure field offices are prepared to receive product fix/enhancement updates, program changes, performance updates, dealer-specific analytics, best practice consultations, and any additional ad-hoc support.
  • Manage a team of program Launch and Sustainment Leads responsible for the successful deployment, sustainment, and long-term dealer performance under SmartPath / Monogram Service.
  • Work to define and kaizen a repeatable and sustainable approach to dealer launches that considers the unique business model of SmartPath / Monogram Service, including:
  • TMNA’s involvement and oversight of the launch process (HQ and Field).
  • Learn and demonstrate mastery of all current and upcoming SmartPath / Monogram Service product functionality.
  • Assist with the creation and presentation of marketing and training content intended for the Field, Dealers, and the Retail Transformation program.
  • Gather and synthesize dealer feedback and field insights regarding the SmartPath / Monogram Service product, and work with the Product and Training Managers to prioritize future needs.
  • Understanding of the Dealer’s fixed operations and technical ecosystem.
  • Nuances of each Business Partner’s launch approach.
  • Consistency with other SmartPath / Monogram products.
  • Participate in regular SmartPath / Monogram Service launch updates to the Retail Transformation program.

What You Bring

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Knowledge of automotive consumer digital user experiences and familiarity with recent digital trends in online marketing/e-commerce.
  • Experience overcoming key obstacles with stakeholder groups and handling objections to achieve win/win results.
  • Excellent speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish and communicate team objectives, evaluate performance, and set expectations for performance and goal attainment.
  • Experience interfacing with high levels of management at TMNA, TFS, field offices, and dealerships.
  • Deep understanding of analytics and metrics, and how they may be used to realize strategic objectives.
  • Strong project management skills and proficiency with applicable tool suites (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
  • Proven track record of managing teams and developing team members.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher), or equivalent professional work experience that is relevant to this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships across the TMNA organization (ITX, TFS, Legal, etc.) and Field organization.
  • Experience in a Toyota or Lexus field office or in positions at HQ with significant responsibility for dealer interaction and performance, specifically within Fixed Operations.
  • Experience in business process mapping and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to plan and manage field travel, including setting itineraries and managing travel across a diverse group of dealers and geographic territories.
