Regions Hospital Laboratory is currently seeking a professional, quality-focused Laboratory Services Technician to join our team. As part of our team you will join a collaborative group of professionals in our newly remodeled laboratory designed for ergonomics and workflow.

As a Laboratory Services Technician (LST) at Regions Hospital you will:
- Accurately obtain a peripheral IV catheter placement as directed by nursing policies and procedures
- Participate in training of new personnel and any student clinical rotations
- Accurately perform and deliver an ECG tracking as directed by cardiology policies and procedures
- Maintain laboratory and cardiolology equipment and supplies
- Perform functions associated with obtaining, receiving and processing of laboratory specimens on patients of all ages
- Perform related functions as assigned
- Receive and respond to telephone inquiries about laboratory processes and results
- Provides professional and respectful customer service to all patients and their family members, healthcare providers and staff
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience: Health care experience to include phlebotomy or IV insertion.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a health care program (e.g. CMA, EMT, Paramedic, phlebotomy)
- Licensure/ Registration/Certification: Phlebotomy Certificate strongly recommended
