Job Summary

Comcast's Technology, Product & Experience organization works at the intersection of media and technology. The QA CLiX Lab Manager (CPE Lab infra eXperience) is responsible for design, standardize and delivery of Test Systems for Broadband, Video and Home security products QA. QA CLiX Lab Manager responsible for managing to a capital budget for the test threads. Manages and provides oversight for the execution of Test Systems delivery, Maintenance of test systems across various labs. Monitors Test systems for the usage of Test Systems, Uplift of Test systems across the Labs. Implements and maintains technical quality assurance and control systems and activities. Specifies the implementation of Test system standards, Lab standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of Test Systems. Oversees the review of Test System designs for quality requirements and considerations. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Develops and manages performance metrics. Reviews end work stream requirements, customize, standardize, and train the customers for best productivity of the test systems. Manages team which may include exempt and non-exempt employees. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies, assist in development and meeting of, departmental budget.

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinates internal and external software testers and facilities. Works with vendors to troubleshoot problems when necessary.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Participates in product teams and the software development life cycle process.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be onsite (Monday to Friday). Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Directs the development of test system and detail test scenarios for Quality Assurance Engineers. Identifies potential test applications and automation tools.
  • Provides technical leaderships and consultation with regards to test philosophies, test system solutions and methodologies, practices, procedures, and techniques.
  • Manages a Quality Assurance CLiX team is responsible for the planning and successful completion of Test Systems Design, Delivery, Maintenance to meet QA Org Goals.
  • Monitors testing systems, including tracking test system deficiencies, the development of improvements and gathering metrics to report progress to leadership team.
  • Ensures Test Systems, CPE Device and non DUT problems are properly identified and CPE device issues are prioritized in the formal defect tracking system and change control processes to determine release-readiness.
  • RDK Experience is a plus.
  • Collaborates with various departments to ensure timely delivery of all Test Systems and documents required to support testing.
  • Collaborates with leadership team to identify, define and measure departmental key goals.
  • Broadband, Video and Home security Product knowledge is a plus
  • Provides guidance to the Quality Assurance CLiX, Product and Development teams in identifying product and technical requirements. Serves as primary point of contact between the Quality Assurance CLiX teams, QA Work Streams, Product and Development teams.

Education

Bachelor's Degree
