Lab Manager

We are looking for an experienced leader who is passionate about Quality and Food Safety!

In this role you will:

  • Work cross functionally to identify root cause, corrective and preventative actions
  • Interact effectively with production and perform special projects as assigned
  • Own, lead and drive changes, procedures and programs related to our HACCP Food Defense programs
  • Own, lead, and drive assigned QA programs to comply with all Quality related regulations and standards
  • Direct and coordinate activities of employees with a focus on continuous improvement and consistency across shifts and departments

This position supervises shift work and may require off-shift hours, weekends and holidays as needed. Typical hours are Monday – Friday 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of FSMA, HACCP, Food Defense and other regulatory requirements
  • Ability to comprehend college level mathematics
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills at various levels of the company
  • Effective skills, working cross-functionally in a fast-paced work environment
  • Four-year degree in related field or 5+ years with Land O'Lakes in a leadership position.
  • Manufacturing Sanitation knowledge or experience (preferred)
  • Ability to build a successful team, coach, facilitate change, and manage conflict
  • 2+ years’ experience in a lab and/or quality program management
  • Demonstrated effective leadership, problem solving and decision-making skills
