Junior Software Developer Jobs

As The Select Group's biotechnology partner is rapidly growing, they are looking for an Entry to Associate level Software Engineer to join their team! This team focuses on creating automated instrument systems for proteomic analysis. The candidate is expected to have a strong understanding either C # or Python. This person should enjoy working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, and be prepared to tackle a broad selection of challenges as the company grows. Please note, this role is ON SITE in Fremont, California, with hybrid capabilities after this person is fully up to speed.

Junior Software Developer Must-Have Skills:

• Backend focused proficiency with C# OR Python
• Ability to collaborate with engineering teams, mechanical engineers, scientists, etc
• Ability to pass a coding challenge and present experience as a part of the interview process
• 2-4 years of professional experience
• Experience with Jira

Junior Software Developer Bonus Skills:

• Experience with UI Framework
• WPF framework knowledge
• Firmware experience

Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree required, Computer Science or related field preferred

Daily Responsibilities:

• Day will start with standup meeting with the team; talking through accomplishments, next steps, impediments within their tasks
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and commercial team to create instrument control software features.
• Troubleshooting issues for testing
• Writing code to fix a bug or to develop additional features to the instrument
• Supporting requests from senior developers
• Continue with tasks and projects for the day
