Junior Project Manager, Management Information Systems

Job Summary

The Junior Project Manager’s role is to support the planning, design, development, and launching of efficient information and operations systems in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven project management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner; first level of user support.
• Design and run reports and dashboards.
• Assist in the planning, project management, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications and operations.
• Monitor/track project milestones and deliverables.
• Provide orientation and training to new employees for business systems.
• Create flow diagrams of business processes.
• Organize notes, department files, and other documentation.
• Follow up on deliverables to completion.
• Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
• Schedule and facilitate meetings between the business and outside vendors.
• Record meetings, take meeting minutes, and identify action items.
• Manage project data.
• Run and analyze data that drives decisions.

Job Qualifications

• Basic understanding of finance and manufacturing terminology with demonstrated understanding of business process flows is a plus.

• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics F&O is a plus.
• Excellent project management skills and follow-through.
• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems, or business administration and three to five years related work experience.
• Working technical knowledge of Microsoft Visio.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with a project management software and a ticketing system.
• Basic Retail Point-of-Sale understanding is a plus.
• Dependable, takes responsibility for own actions.
• Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, changing environment.
• Advanced Excel.
