Role description:
Arcadis is currently seeking self-motivated Junior Level Bridge Design Engineers to join our National Bridge Group in Multiple locations including:
Akron, Cinicinnati, Cleveland, or Columbus, OH
Atlanta, GA
Baton Rouge, LA
Charleston, SC
Dallas, TX
Harrisburg or Philadelphia, PA
Jacksonville, FL
Raleigh, NC
Arcadis’ Bridge Group delivers “best in class” technical and innovative solutions to our clients on the design, delivery and management of these critical structural resources to our State, municipal and design-build clients. In this position, you will assist in the technical design and plan production for projects of varying sizes. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your design skills and build management skills.
Role accountabilities:
Must possess excellent technical skills in the design of bridges and other transportation related structures, including experience with AASHTO LRFD
Must have solid communication skills, written and verbal, and be able to convey information to technical and non-technical individuals.
Qualifications & Experience:
Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
Education required: BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
EI or the ability to obtain EI within one year from date of hire
Skills required: experience reading and reviewing bridge plans;
Software skills required: familiarity with LEAP Bridge (CONSPAN and RCPier specifically), MerlinDash, MathCAD, Microstation, Microsoft Office
This position requires minimal travel.
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required for this position
Preferred qualifications include, but are not limited to:
Education preferred: MS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Years of experience: 1-5 years’ experience in bridge engineering
Experience with GDOT, VDOT, TDOT, SCDOT, TXDOT, ALDOT, NCDOT and/or FDOT bridge policies and procedures desired
Bridge Maintenance experience
Bridge Inspection experience

The salary range for this position is $52000 - 89700 / year.
