Title: Mobile Application Manual Tester (IOT) Years of experience: 2-3+ : • This tester will be manually testing the phone app’s and not the website • They use tools like Zephyr and Test Rails as well as Jira to detect bugs and track issues in the phone app’s • Will track their products on phone applications such as a Robot Vacuum, Thermostat devices like Nest-make sure the physical device can connect to the app on the phone • Familiar with IOT • Will test features in the phone app and defect tracking, experience with test cases, regression testing. Ex. Is the app progressing or regressing – is it working properly and connecting to the physical device • Experience with troubleshooting issues/features in the phone app for example is it a cloud, physical device, firmware issue? • Able to track problems in the products, phone app’s and the physical devices • Will be 80% testing the app’s and 20% testing the app’s and how they connect with the physical devices in the lab • Needs to have experience testing products that are controlled by phone app’s
