ProVantage Corporate Solutions is a Retail Service Organization (RSO) that specializes in retail services, such as new store set up of fixtures, signage and merchandise, remodels, merchandising services, and new product rollouts, is now hiring Travel Carpenters.

What you will be doing:

Our travel carpenters perform skilled work involving rough and finished carpentry, steel rack assembly and anchoring for retail stores nationwide. Attention to detail, ability to work on a team and a positive attitude are a MUST!

Position Requirements:

• Communicate clearly and proactively to teammates to ensure timely completion of duties. Report issues through chain of command, especially those affecting costs.
• Own and demonstrate safe usage of carpentry tools. For example: screwdrivers, open end wrenches, framing hammer, speed square, cordless drill/impact driver, circular saw (corded or cordless), dead blow hammer, pliers, tape measure, and level.
• Reliable transportation to all project locations.
• Get paid to travel - When assigned more than 50 miles from your home, receive per diem to offset the cost of hotels and meals, in addition to $0.35/mile when using your personal vehicle & travel time pay!
• General math and problem-solving skills.
• Work & visit different cities and towns across the United States!
• Must own steel toe boots/OSHA certified safety shoes.
• Must be able to bend, walk/stand for 8 hours or more and team lift 50lbs overhead.
• Read and interpret work orders to perform required merchandising activities, fixture installations (Plan-O-Gram and Modular setting) per instructions.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Ability to read layouts from blueprints
• Experience in some area of carpentry, cabinetry, millwork, interior trim, remodels, renovations, shelving or closet organizers is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment to make decisions and solve problems
• Knowledge of General Safety Practices
• Ability to utilize dispatching equipment such as telephone, pagers, mobile radio
• Knowledge of basic mathematics
• Experience in blue-print reading, lay-out, framing, drywall, running base & crown, and other general carpentry work.
• Retail experience with full understanding of concepts, practices and procedures in commercial retail merchandising projects – preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of general construction practices and details
• Construction experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
• Ability to use hand tools, reciprocating and miter saws, and power tools correctly and safely.
• Ability to use applications on a cell phone
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively with a keen sense to detail
