Job Summary


We are seeking a Cyber Hardware Engineer II; this position is located in Columbus, OH.

Major Responsibilities


  • Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical/electronic systems, components, equipment, and networks.
  • Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results.  
  • Demonstrates awareness of deliverables and their role within the project plan. Identifies and executes steps necessary to complete less structured assignments with guidance from SMEs.
  • Contribute to Internal Research and Development (IRAD) studies.
  • Identifies and articulates strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions, and problem approaches during technical discussions.
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to prepare technical content tailored to the client’s mission. Participates in technical discussions, demonstrating knowledge of the technology and adequately fielding questions which arise.
  • Collaborate with the Trust and Analytics team to assess the security, reliability, and trustworthiness of electronic devices, integrated circuits, and embedded systems


The Following Is Required


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or relevant field and 2 years of experience; Master’s degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Understanding and experience in integrated circuit design
  • Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active TS US government security clearance
  • Experience developing and debugging software for embedded systems
  • Demonstrates good organization, communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with networking protocols and architecture
  • Experience developing embedded microprocessor-based systems including digital and analog circuit design


THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED


  • Understanding of ASIC design flow and verification methodologies
  • Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or C#
  • Solid understanding and experience with ASIC electronics decide automation (EDA) tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, etc.
  • Proficient in microcontroller-based design and analysis
  • Experience in data visualization, signal processing, statistical techniques, and technical writing
  • FPGA design expertise using either Verilog or VHDL
  • Strong bench skills, including digital and analog circuit prototyping, application specific test & measurement instrument design
  • Experience in integrated circuit design simulation, layout, and verification workflows
