Amentum is now hiring an Electronics Engineer for its Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD location.


Hybrid telework opportunities are available for those living in the area.


You are a proactive, knowledgeable Electronics Engineer capable of providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in the field of Spectrum Management and Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) for Army tactical network weapon system programs. You're also a self-starter dedicated to accomplishing program requirements working well independently and also excel at working with a team to achieve required objectives. Your creativity and detail oriented abilities ensure a disciplined and professional engineering approach to the performance of duties associated with the generation and submission of (DD 1494s) required to support development, testing, field and other world wide operations.


Responsibilities
:

  • Coordinates with CERDEC, ARL, Universities and other Govt/non-Govt agencies for spectrum sharing technologies, evaluates spectrum tools and supports Product Offices.
  • Identifies PM Tactical Network EMSO technology gaps and collaborate on solutions with PEOC3T and S&T COI (CERDEC, ARL, DARPA, industry, academia).
  • Support Product offices for COCOM spectrum approval.
  • Mitigates issues related to HN comments/analysis coordinating with JFMO and COCOMs.
  • Supports the development of Host Nation (HN) DD1494 for each COCOM (in particular: CENTCOM, EUCOM & PACOM), provides data/input in Stepstone/BPM and tracks Host Nation spectrum support comments in Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Database Online (HNSWDO).
  • Obtains National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) Spectrum approval/certification while working or coordinating with other organizations such as ASMO, CIO G6, Product Offices, JSC, NTIA, JFMO, COCOMs, vendors and other stakeholder organizations.
  • Researches and evaluates future technologies in Spectrum Management.
  • Responsible for managing, reviewing and updating all DD1494 applications, SSRA certifications and associated spectrum requirements and assuring they are compliant with all regulatory and statutory requirements, and meet appropriate submission/certification criteria.
  • Provides support in developing Spectrum Supportability Risk Assessment (SSRA) certification and DD1494 applications.
  • Engages with Spectrum Regulators for spectrum de-confliction, support/guide EW/EP requirements etc.
  • Reviews policy and doctrine components of new or emerging EMSO programs and S&T solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Familiarity with commercial/tactical communications equipment used in military communications architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant Electronics Engineering experience related to Spectrum Management & EMSO.

    • Or a High School Diploma/GED, and at least 14 years of Electronics engineering experience related to Spectrum Management & EMSO.

  • Or a High School Diploma/GED, and at least 14 years of Electronics engineering experience related to Spectrum Management & EMSO.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with/in/as a(n) Army tactical networks.
  • B.S. Degree in engineering or technical related field.
  • Knowledge of Army organization structure and Unit Task Organization concepts.
