Itron's West Union, SC site which is closely located to the beautiful and academically acclaimed Clemson University campus, is seeking a Hardware Electrical Engineer who is seeking a challenging role with purpose. This important role serves as a central resource for design, process, manufacturing, test, and quality with responsibility in investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities. One of the key responsibilities and impact this individual will have is to ensure the products shipped meeting the specifications and quality goals of the customer and Itron standards.
- Troubleshoot, support, and improve existing PCBAs
- Develop PCBA schematics using commercial components and custom PCBs for rigorous environmental conditions and adhering to mechanical constraints
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand product metrology requirements, including internal specifications and applicable industry standards
- Conduct and participate in design reviews

Itron's West Union, SC location is seeking a Staff or Senior Electrical Engineer. Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, and quality. Promotes investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities. Ensures that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand product metrology requirements, including internal specifications and applicable industry standards
- Develop PCBA schematics using commercial components and custom PCBs for rigorous environmental conditions and adhering to mechanical constraints
- Troubleshoot, support, and improve existing PCBAs
- Conduct and participate in design reviews
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering required
- Demonstrated experience in board development utilizing microprocessors, discreet components, and interacting with embedded code
- Plus if you have a Masters Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Prefer 3 – 10 years’ experience in PCBA hardware development
