Job Description

Title: Desktop Engineer

Location: Columbus, OH

JOB DESCRIPTION

Windows Client OS/3rd Party App Patching, SCCM, Deskside Support

END USER COMPUTING:

Preferred Skill sets – Windows Client OS Patching, Windows migration, Windows Upgrade, SCCM, Active Directory.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Related certifications may count towards years of related experience.
  • Troubleshooting/ Root cause Identification.
  • Work closely with other IT teams to ensure proper integration of SCCM with other systems and tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during the upgrade process, including compatibility problems, connectivity issues or software bugs.
  • Expert knowledge on Microsoft troubleshooting skills and tools including OS Hardening and Vulnerability assessment.
  • Tier-2 Break-Fix Support includes MS Teams, Exchange, Onedrive, software installation failures.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • Provide Level- 2/ 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues within SLA.
  • Expert knowledge on Windows Client operating systems and SCCM Administration.
  • Strong Knowledge on Management of Active Directory.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationship within the department, the strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities units and the company interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop and follow upgrade procedures rollback plans and documentation for reference.
  • Research and introduce new technologies or enhance existing ones.
  • Design, Deploy and configure SCCM infrastructure to support software deployments and update across the organization.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Exceptional communication Skills.
  • Troubleshoot SCCM client and server issues and perform necessary remediation.
  • Monitor and Maintain the health of SCCM infrastructure, including site servers, distribution points and clients.
