Responsibilities

• Ensure the robustness of automation initiatives by conducting thorough testing before distribution to internal and external clients
• Take proactive measures to improve processes and enhance the customer experience
• Perform functional, load, stress, performance, security, and integration testing between company applications, products, and services
• Build foundational infrastructure to empower the development team
• Develop and test software solutions as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
• Simplify and streamline testing processes to enhance product quality and efficiency
• Thrive in a dynamic environment with evolving systems, challenges, and complex problems
• Demonstrate proficiency in end-to-end testing with automation for successful results
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and a curious mindset to understand the inner workings of systems
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to alerts outside of regular business hours when on-call
• Utilize backend software engineering skills to code and design technical solutions for high-scale systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience/training
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and parallel or distributed systems
• Proficiency in both Windows and Linux systems administration
• Customer-focused mindset and a knack for solving customer problems
• Experience in tool building and scripting
• Technical design skills in backend and high-scale systems
• Software engineering skills encompassing componentization, automated testing, debugging, and coding/designing for fault tolerance
• Development experience in C# and Python
• Track record and passion for transparency in work
• Collaborative nature, working effectively with others to create impactful solutions
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, etc.
• Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its services
• Willingness to take ownership, drive, and maintain various large and small projects
• Expertise in relational databases, including development in the data layer and writing ad-hoc queries
• Security-oriented mindset and a drive to develop robust and secure systems
• Ability to quickly prototype ideas and write high-quality code
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely
• Experience with automation frameworks like Jenkins
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and a desire to grow both personally and as a team player
• Familiarity with caching systems and web servers
