Junior Developer ($40-44/Hr)

Excellent opportunity to join one of the largest healthcare providers in the US! This is a contract (6 months) to hire opportunity, and would be a good fit for individuals with at least one professional project under their belt.

Please note, the target conversion salary for this role is $70-75k (DOQ).

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing UI screens, writing JPA/SQL, and coding interfaces using technologies such as Spring Boot, Thymeleaf, HTML, JavaScript, Angular, and/or Oracle.

This is a fast-paced environment, and the selected candidate will be expected to hit the ground running and start working on the project within a couple of weeks.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate ideas clearly and concisely to team members and stakeholders.
• Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust software solutions.
• Utilize GitHub for source control to manage code repositories.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
• Author and code UI screens using Spring Boot, Thymeleaf, HTML, JavaScript, Angular, and/or Oracle.
• Integrate with APIs to connect various system components.
• Deliver presentations to convey project updates, findings, and recommendations.
• Work with JSON or XML data formats.
• Utilize software development methodologies and principles to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Develop and maintain database interactions by writing JPA/SQL queries.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience using GitHub for version control.
• Working knowledge of APIs.
• Familiarity with JSON or XML data formats.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• At least 1 year of coding experience using object-oriented programming languages such as Java, VB.NET, or C#.
• Strong technical skills with a solid understanding of software development methodologies and principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Postman or SoapUI for testing APIs.
• Experience and knowledge of Red Hat BRMS (aka Decision Manager) and/or BPM (aka Process Automation Manager) processes, rules, and/or tools.
