Job Description
  • Applicable programming languages;
  • Monitors industry best practices including changes and advancements in software development to ensure that the school district is using best practices and the most up-to-date technologies.
  • Systems analysis and design principles;
  • Assists Database Administrator with monitoring and managing data systems databases, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity and timely resolution of any issues or bottlenecks. ?
  • Evaluating, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, network, and peripheral problems;
  • Agile software development methodology;
  • Recordkeeping principles;
  • Establishing and following procedural and technical standards;
  • Up to one year of specialized or technical training beyond high school from a Coding Academy or Application Development Training Program
  • Technology troubleshooting techniques;
  • Applicable operating systems;
  • Customer service principles;
  • Applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations;
  • Computers and related software applications
  • Applicable hardware, software, and peripheral equipment;
  • One to three years of relevant experience performing similar duties
  • Network structures;
  • Software testing methodologies, tools and techniques;
  • Computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures and computer architecture;
  • Preparing and maintaining records and reports;
  • Software, hardware, and networking principles;
  • Operating a computer and applicable software applications;
  • Providing customer service;
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
  • Troubleshoots issues with existing applications/code, fixes bugs and makes improvements to the software over time.
  • Writes code to implement the design and architecture plans developed by the data team and tests the code to ensure it meets requirements and standards.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
