The Software Developer is part of the Software Applications Development Team and is responsible for analyzing component requirements, designing software solutions, and implementing Zimmer Biomet’s software systems on mobile and cloud platforms. Zimmer Biomet Software Developers are also responsible for developing and maintaining automated software tests. The right person for this role will be a detail-oriented, results oriented self-starter with the flexibility to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Passionate about helping patients get the best outcome from surgical experience.
• Maintain frequent communication with team members and work closely with them throughout the development process.
• Solve complicated problems involving multiple APIs and applications.
• Ever mindful of security and HIPAA compliance as a basis for everything that you do.
• Work independently within a small development team, to drive our product forward.
• Maintain and create highly functional and innovative web application solutions to solve real world problems in the medical field.
• Create, integrate, and test new features in a variety of apps.
• Write C# code that is clean, efficient, scalable, and dependable

Expected Areas of Competence

• Skills and significant work experience with various technology and DBMS solutions in a web environment (Postgres/MySQL/SQL Server)
• Familiarity with common methodologies and technologies in the dotnet ecosystem including: MVC, TDD, Entity Framework, REST and/or GRPC APIs
• Experience with SASS, ECMAScript 2018 and modern front-end frameworks/libraries such as Vue, React, or Angular etc. Understanding and significant work experience with various SDLC methodologies including Agile / Scrum
• Significant software experience in C# / NETCore with demonstrated ability in both front-end and backend development.

Education/Experience Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent combinations of education and experience
• 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer roles using technologies such as C# / ASP.NET Core, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, git, Azure, etc.
