Job Description

SUMMARY

The role is an ideal leadership opportunity for a technical leader who has a proven track record of successfully driving projects in Engineering and Operations. This role reports to the Project Management Office. In this role, you will support cross-functional teams that are charged with investigation and remediation of issues experienced in manufacturing or use of diagnostic assays.


This role offers a unique career opportunity to leverage your background in engineering / operations. You will work with cross-functional teams with the help of subject matter experts and highly skilled team members from multiple functional areas within the company.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Support project initiators with creation of effective project charters
  • Support projects in implementation of the PM best practices
  • Plan and drive execution of projects related to product quality, supply continuity, or serviceability issues for on-market products
  • Manage cross-functional projects including resources, timelines, and budgets required to successfully meet requirements
  • Work with Project Owners to develop project plans and provide regular updates for the Product Care Leadership to effectively manage their portfolio of projects / programs
  • Interact and provide effective guidance on project management principles across cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D and Quality
  • Effectively capture and follow-up on meeting minutes, action items and decisions ? Facilitate meetings including moderating, agenda setting, and follow-up w/ presenters


Education and Experience

B.S. degree in the sciences/engineering

  • 2 or more (2+) years of experience and demonstrated success as a Project Manager or equivalent
  • Three or more (3+) years of experience in Manufacturing, process engineering, and/or operations preferred


Skills – Technical/General

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive high performing teams to meet project goals and deliverables using relevant project management tools
  • PMP/ Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership executing, organizing, and leading efforts to influence organizational change in a matrix environment
  • Able to develop project plans with input from core team using project management tools (Smartsheet experience preferred)
  • Experience with Class II medical device product development, design controls and ISO13485/cGMP requirements
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving, quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Detail oriented to ensure all tasks, owners, due dates and dependencies are clearly articulated to team and organized in a clear project plan
