Job description

Overview:The Project Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and driving project progress. They will provide clients with timely feedback regarding their projects, interface with multiple teams, troubleshoot and resolve situations that may arise, and monitor the progress of their projects to ensure that results are delivered smoothly. Must have a life sciences degree.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Manage sequencing projects to ensure on-time delivery

· Review reports at each project stage

· Use a computer interface to assign task orders to the laboratory

· Resolve issues in project implementation by using critical thinking and communicating with other involved departments

· Gather data on operations/issues and look for ways to improve workflows

· Serve as point of contact for client questions during and after project completion

Requirements:

· At least one of the following:

1. BS in life science or medical field and 1-2+ years of relevant work experience

2. MS or PhD in life science or medical field

3. 4+ years of relevant work experience

· Experience or interest in genomics, transcriptomics, genetics, molecular biology

· Project management and/or crucial decision-making experience in a professional environment

· Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential

· Quick learner with effective communication and presentation skills

· Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and work under pressure in this rapidly growing company; has an eye for detail, and is meticulous by nature

· Proficiency in MS Office software (particularly Excel and Outlook), and ability to learn new software quickly
