Jr. Data Analyst - Remote!

Our work depends on a Data Analyst joining our team to remotely support activities supporting our Health Resources and Services Administration program working with healthcare and financial data.

HOW A DATA ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Providing input or preparing technical reports/briefings based on the expert interpretation of analyzed data.
• Reviewing and analyzing collected data to determine the performance and health of a government program, policies, system or network.
• Document and communicate reporting requirements, rules and methodologies for data collection and analysis.
• Conducting analysis on healthcare and financial data.
• Presenting data in briefing and other formats to stakeholders and internal team members.
• Assembling, preparing, and analyzing data for system requirements and other needs.
• Recommending changes to the overall system or network to ensure service to the customer.
• Participating in meetings to provide assistance with technical inquiries related to system implementations, as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Competent using Microsoft Office Suite products, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Proficient using SQL and database concepts to query various data sources.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience working with data and completing data analysis activities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience using Python for data analysis.
• Experience using Snowflake.
• Ability to manage time effectively, to work under time pressure, to meet schedules and deadlines, to multi-task, to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments and pay close attention to detail.
• High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large scale databases.
• Healthcare Service Industry.
• Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
• Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.

SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL:

• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.
• Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
