Remote - Software Application Tester, Jr.

The Precise Team is currently seeking a Software Application Tester, Jr. to support our Patuxent River, MD customer. Our tester will be responsible for the execution of end-to-end testing for product releases, including functional, system, and regression testing of .NET web-based applications. The candidate will be responsible for developing software test plans, test scenarios and cases, defect logging, and reproduction procedures. The candidate needs to possess strong communication skills and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities Will Include

• Working closely with software developers to develop test specifications and build test cases to rigorously test product functionality and investigate all potential product test failures
• Designing and executing manual test plans and test scenarios for software components and builds
• Acting as a software testing resource on project teams, and interacting with Developers, System Analysts, Project Managers, and other QA analysts
• Defect/Bug tracking and reproduction procedures
• Converting business requirements into test plans and test cases

Education Required: Associate degree, or 2 years relevant experience
Experience Required: A minimum of one year of hands-on experience with software testing processes and methodologies, including designing and developing test cases and test scenarios based upon system requirements and specifications documentation is desired.

• Proven track record of successful management of resources and timelines
• Familiarity with manual functional/regression testing design and execution experience
• Knowledge of test cases and test plans design/maintenance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 1+years of test case and test plan design/maintenance desired
• 1+years manual functional/regression testing design and execution experience desired
• Team player that can work with minimal supervision Knowledge of SDLC, to include Agile/Scrum/Kanban Software testing of web-based applications

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
