Job Description
A tech services company in Maryland has a great Remote opportunity awaiting a new IT Quality Analyst. In this role, the IT Quality Analyst (Remote) will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating software products and systems to ensure Section 508 accessibility compliance.


Responsibilities


The IT Quality Analyst (Remote) will:


  • Open defects when found during system testing; coordinate with the Developer through resolution; and, retest defects when coding is complete
  • Test and remediate web applications for Section 508 compliance
  • Create and update Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) 508 documentation
  • Perform other duties, as needed
  • Perform testing and document evidence of expected results being met
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies, as assigned
  • Support integration testing effort
Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or a related technical discipline
  • Hands-on experience working with 508 tools - JAWS, Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool (WAVE) and Color Contrast Analyser (CCA)
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Highly organized
  • 5+ years of related Software Testing & 508 accessibility experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
