Job Description
We are offering a part-time (up to 30 hours per week) contract-to-hire IT Support Technician role to work with team members across our organization, assisting with the technology they interact with every day. In this role, you will support FMX employees with their laptops and the foundational technology that enables their work. You will set up laptops for new employees being onboarded, help to troubleshoot issues that may arise with the PCs, and collaborate with teammates to inform standards and best practices for IT support.


Note: This is a contract-to-hire position which will last until the end of 2023. At that time there will be the option of being converted to a full time salaried position with benefits.


Responsibilities:
  • Password resets
  • Software management (installation, updates, Windows updates)
  • Setup for new hires including joining employees to Microsoft Active Directory
  • Building, maintaining, and deploying custom computer images
  • Troubleshooting general PC issues
  • Respond to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint security alerts
  • Employee laptop setup and maintenance
  • VPN setup and support


Requirements
  • Strongly preferred:
  • Knowledge of the Google Workspace suite
  • Resourcefulness in finding answers to questions and learning from others
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Nice to have:
  • Microsoft Active Directory experience

  • Familiarity with Windows OS and PCs
  • Familiarity with Azure VPN client

  • Experience diagnosing and resolving issues being experienced by end users
  • Some familiarity with Macs is a plus as we have a few team members on Apple technology, but this is not our primary domain

Compensation:


  • A competitive hourly rate between $15 and $30 per hour, depending on experience.
