Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. seeks an Investment Banking Senior Associate for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Provide comprehensive financial advisory and capital raising services to top corporations, financial institutions, and governments worldwide within the Financial Strategy Group. The Financial Strategy Group is an analytical corporate finance advisory team advising corporate and financial institution clients globally on a full spectrum of corporate finance issues such as valuation, capital structures, credit ratings, risk management, liability management, shareholder distributions, and acquisition and funding strategies. This is a client-facing role that entails providing strategic corporate finance advisory for Citi’s institutional clients across regions with a focus in Consumer, Real Estate, Technology, Leasing, and Industrial sectors based in North America along with some coverage of clients within the Latin American regions. The position will assist in leading multibillion dollar merger & acquisitions and capital raising transactions including equity, investment grade and leveraged debt financing by working closely with clients, industry teams, capital markets, and Merger & Acquisition professionals. The position will drive the development of client relationships with large institutional clients through identification of emerging trends that affect corporations using quantitative analytics including statistical and simulation-based analysis. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policy.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, and three (3) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Three (3) years of experience must include: Providing client advisory services on various corporate finance topics including capital raising, risk management, M&A, capital structure, valuation, and capital deployment; Creating financial analyses by building, running, and interpreting financial models including valuation, M&A scenarios, and pro-forma analyses in order to explore corporate finance solutions; Reviewing and building statistical analytics with the use of applications including R, Stata, or Python; Utilizing financial data platforms including Bloomberg, FactSet, Dealogic, Capital IQ and SDC; Analyzing and interpreting financial statements and credit rating analysis based on public rating agency methodologies including S&P and Moody’s; and Adapting cost of capital and valuation methodologies to complex situations. 40 hrs./wk.
