Inventory Manager Jobs

SmartyPants is looking for a motivated, dedicated, and detail-oriented individual for the Inventory Manager position. In this role, you'll work closely with Supply Planning, Fulfillment, Finance, Demand Planning & 3rd party vendor to drive inventory accuracy and reconciliation. What You’ll Do

• Assist with EDI setup, testing, and onboarding of customers and 3rd parties
• Other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned
• UPC/GTIN and bar code creation for new items
• Collaborate with accounting on monthly reconciliation of inventory between ERP and 3rd parties
• Optimize inventory tracking system to improve inventory control procedures
• Reconcile weekly production batches and evaluate if excess scrap was incurred
• Maintain cycle count program
• Trouble shoot EDI to ERP mapping warnings and errors
• Own Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventory process
• Investigate and solve inconsistencies with inventory
• Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and finished goods
• Coordinate with 3rd parties to investigate inventory discrepancies

What You Have

• Experience with driving lead-time reduction initiatives
• Experience with EDI specifically SPS Commerce
• Bachelor's degree In Operations, Supply Planning, or related field
• Excellent organizational skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast paced environment
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all personality types and behaviors; flexibility
• 4-6 years of experience in a fast-paced inventory management position
• Ability to take ownership of initiatives and work proactively to successfully complete projects within tight timeframes

Bonus Points For

• Understanding and prior experience with GS1 US
• Experience with new product development inventory management practices
• APICS certification
• CPG or wholesale experience

• The pay range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. SmartyPants Vitamins takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. This position is bonus eligible. SmartyPans Vitamins employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan. Should the employee choose to participate, they can choose from a range of benefits to include, but is not limited to, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, sick leave, paid vacation and holidays. Office Environment
SmartyPants is a fast-moving and mission-driven company that values transparency, excellence, and transformation. Our headquarters in Marina del Rey are a former architect's office, a two-story space where we work in an open environment with no elevator access to our 2nd floor offices.
